Brisbane Airport is 110Klm away from our office – it is not possible for us to leave vehicles at Brisbane Airport for you to pick up, nor can vehicles be left there at the end of your rental term.
If you are arriving or departing via Brisbane Airport, you can:
A. Choose to catch a train to the Gold Coast from Brisbane Airport (just outside the terminal) at a cost of about $30.00 per adult and a frequency of every 30 minutes. We will meet you at or return you to Varsity Lakes Railway Station.
OR
B. Use our pick up and return service (operates for pick ups from 8am and returns until 6pm seven days) at a cost of $75 domestic pick up; $85 international pick up; $65 return). Passengers in excess of 5 are an extra $5 each person each way. Bridge Tolls & Airport parking costs are additional, luggage is free. This compares well with train and transfer costs to/from your hotel @ $112 one way, $210 return for a family of five. We will meet you at the baggage area and drive you to our Gold Coast office where you will pick up your car.
OR
C. Use a commercial airport transfer service such as www.con-x-ion.com; www.goldcoasttransport.com.au; www.topflight.net.au or Door2Door on +61 7 5535 7003. Price varies according to time of day - these are most appropriate when you are arriving too late or departing too early for either our service or the train service. We will meet you at or return you to your accommodation.
OR
D. Rent for one day from one of the major car rental companies on the basis of pick up a car at Brisbane Airport and return at Surfers Paradise (or vice versa). We have negotiated special corporate rates with Avis for this facility through our golf holiday business. This process often works out as the cheapest option, especially if there are more than 3 adults and you are staying on the Gold Coast for a week or more. We meet you at or return you to your accommodation or the other rental office.
E. This arrangement with Avis (or similar rental company) can work well for those who want to have either the first or last part of their holiday in Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast.
